“An artist’s duty, as far as I am concerned, is to reflect the times.” – Nina Simone
In the vein of documentaries like Gimme Shelter, Hype, and Dave Chapelle’s Block Party that captured the urgent and authentic cultural experience for their audience, and reflected the underground grunge, rock and hip hop scenes of their times, INDIE ROOFTOP will similarly showcase performances from relevant artists that transport viewers through the cutting-edge indie music landscape.
INDIE ROOFTOP will be an seven episode concert series set on a highrise building, highlighting in the background the iconic Chicago Skyline. Each episode will focus on one unique artist/band of note.

Meet the Cast
Our talent list is a carefully curated slate of musically and lyrically gifted artists with fresh, sincere, authentic voices. They were chosen because of their exceptional musicianship. Their content embodies themes that are relevant to today’s fans; mental health, pandemic-aftermath, complex relationships, evolved masculinity, joy and optimism, and self-actualization.
While mainstream music tends to rely on slick branding, hypersexualized messaging and conspicuous consumption endemic in pop music, INDIE ROOFTOP Artists are more counterculture, willful individualists whose music enriches the soul.
